The lyrics paired with the funk and pop melodies make for an encouraging and upbeat song perfect for dancing in your apartment or driving down the highway.

The song is undeniably catchy but the video is what really inspires. The video shows an agoraphobic gentleman who is unable to leave his apartment even though his “heart wants to.” With the support of an imaginary alien friend and some solid tunes, the protagonist is able to finally leave his home after getting down in his living room.

While I have no problem leaving my apartment and traveling overseas, I know just how crippling fear can be. At the same time, I also know that the moment you step into discomfort is when the real magic begins. This song is the perfect reminder to listen to your heart and take a risk regardless of the fear.

While this song has been out for over a year, I figured it was perfect for my first blog post as I’ve been wanting to start a music blog for quite some time now.

Aunque la canción es muy contagiosa, el video es lo que inspira. Cuenta la historia de un hombre agorafóbico que no puede salir de su piso aunque es el deseo de su corazón. Con el apoyo de un amigo extraterrestre, él puede salir de su piso después de un baile fuerte en su sala de estar.

Aunque no tengo problems saliendo de mi piso y viajando por todo el mundo, yo conozco muy bien el sentido del miedo y de que debilitante puede ser. Al mismo tiempo, yo sé la magia te llega en el momento de ponerte en la incomodidad. Esta canción es el recuerdo de escuchar a tu corazón y tomar los riesgos aunque tengas miedo.
